Firstly, we comply with the current and often mandatory requirements of the German government's “Guidelines for the sustainable organization of events”. The conception and realization of customer tasks are strictly aligned with the official 102-page checklist. This includes, for example, the selection of the event location and accommodation as well as traffic routing, accessibility, temporary structures and much more.
Secondly, we do the math - with the digital Vagedes & Schmid climate calculator. The CO2 calculator determines the CO2 emissions caused by events and trade fairs in order to determine the possibility of compensation for the customer or for the upcoming project. Among other things, the following components from the guidelines are recorded: Use of energy and water, travel to and from the event, transport, the use of materials in equipment, waste, catering and much more.
Thirdly: We confirm - with certifications as proof of our consistent actions. We have already completed the EMAS certification process for the “Festival of the Future - Environmental Policy 3.0” of the Federal Ministry for the Environment and the “UN Climate Change Conference in Bonn, COP23”. As an agency, we regularly go through these processes.
From January 2025, there will be a new “Blauer Engel” eco-label for events for EMAS organizations. We will also campaign for this.
Speaking of testing: Diversity and needs in our teams are respected. In addition, their safety and protection in the workplace and on the production, lines are promoted, monitored and reported. This is also an important aspect of sustainability, which is a matter of course for us.
In all of this, we act in accordance with the law and are committed to complying with all relevant legislation as well as the relevant environmental laws and corresponding regulations. A comparison with the relevant laws is carried out regularly to make the necessary adjustments.
